Default Sony supports iPod. Apple to support Blu-ray?

In an almost mind-blowing revelation, Sony will introduce an alarm clock and boom box with an Ipod dock built in. While not abandoning their own portable music aspirations, Sony has recognized that "consumers are treating the iPod as a format, like the compact disc".

Now this begs the question: If Sony is going to start supporting Ipod products, will Apple now start supporting Blu-ray products? We know they sit on the board of the BDA, but have yet to introduce a product which supports Blu-ray. Could this the signal that something is coming.

I know it may be a stretch, but its a slow day in the office .
