Help me understand the region code for blu-ray.

Now as I remember this is the region for regular dvd's:

1. US and Canada
2. West Europe, Japan
3. Southeast Asia
4. Latin America, Australia
5. Russia, India, Africa
6. China

Blu-Ray regions are:

1. North and South America, India, Southeast Asia, Japan - Region A
2. Europe, Middle East, Australia - Region B
3. Russia, China - Region C

Now I live in USA, so can I order my blu-rays from the UK, and then put the blu-ray in an american PS3 and it will work.

Cause I am getting mixed answers.....
