GO HUSKERS.
Default So i see a lot of talk about calibration.

Ok so im just interested in all the desire to have your tv calibrated.
Many people purchase dvds and calibrate going that route.
So heres my question. If we all see differently why is there such a need for a standard in calibration?
I may like more contrast or more of a red hue than i do.
Im not condeming people for calibrating their tv with some other source.
I guess im just curious to know how many of you calibrated your tv then adjusted to how you like?
Then i would follow up with why did you calibrate in the first place. Why not just set it for your own personal taste?
I guess i havent ever calibrated my own, but have seen others who have. What more does buying a dvd do for the tv than just doing what looks good to you?
