Thanks to the Family Video Vinegar Syndrome sale, I purchased my 4,500th blu ray this morning. The march towards 5,000 continues.

My pre-order of Demon Wind was the one that put me over the top.

I went over 2000 earlier this year. Now because of the amazon UHD sale, I went over 2100. (I will never live long enough to watch all the movies and TV series I have waiting to be watched even though I have been trying to watch 2-3 movies a day.)

After the Black Friday sales, it's over 2200 and the disks are still arriving in the mail, not yet listed in the totals.

As it stands I have 9 hard drives totaling about 37 terabytes. I have completely backed up action, animation, comedy, crime, documentary, foreign, and about half of drama. So I have the rest of drama, family/kids, horror, musicals, mystery/thriller, sci-fi/fantasy, sport, war, & western to go. Also, one of my portable 5 TB drives contains all of my favorites. If you see a B next to a title in my collection then it has been backed up and these are all lossless .mkv files. It's taken a while, but I am finally getting somewhere.

I don’t even think I’ve ever owned 1000 plus movies total in my whole life. I did own over 600 DVDs one time & now I own 571 with 10 on the way. Sadly I have a long way to go to the 1k club

I can't believe I am going to hit 1800 blu rays before Christmas, only about 12 off now, before all the sales... it just seems like yesterday I hit 1700, not sure how many DVDs I have but think it's around 800 perhaps.

I went back and found my post from when I hit 1000. 4/29/16. Now I have 1515. I need to slow down some because I have too many unwatched movies.

You're telling me. In October 2016 I had 2,800 blu rays. Now I'm sitting at more than 4,900.
