That is probably the firmware that enables Dolby Vision pass-through

It should have said what the update was for. Like Rocky said it's the DV update.

Has anybody had a problem with the X4300 outputting 7.1.4 during the dts-hd mode when the movie is inputting either 2.0 or 5.1? I know it’s not the players since I tried a few and just recently put an external amp for the Back Dolby speakers.

About to buy my first HT Receiver. Was looking at denons but quickly got confused between all the models. The two that I have in my cart now are
Denon AVR - S930H and the Denon AVR- X3300W. Different prices, yet to me same features. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking to do a 5.1.2 set up. I have an lg e6 so I am looking for atmos and dolby vision.

I have the 3300 and it is a good piece of kit.

has yours been updated to support dolby vision? From what I can gather, the newer s930h has dolby out the box unlike the x3300.

2015 models should be getting Dolby Vision firmware by 2018 hopefully. Not that I mind connecting my UHD player directly to my Oled TV, but I am sure many would appreciate Denon supporting older models

I can finally post here! Just bought the X6400H for $1499 at Best Buy due to their error. They had an old tag that expired 10/14 and they honored it without hassle. Now I can’t wait to pick it up when it’s delivered to the store. I almost bought one on eBay for $1699 this morning!

I want a new AVR now so that I can do everything in 4K60HZ, but at the same time I don't want to spend any money, for now I have devices hooked up directly to TV and then using Tos-Link for audio.

Tos-Link audio is actually not bad for what it is, you just have to turn the stereo up a little louder that's all, It will do the job well enough until am ready for a new AVR.

I have owned a cheap HTIB Panasonic system that did its job back in the day, and the Denon I have now, I love Denon and I am not sure its even worth looking at any other brands unless the price was right.

With all that being said, does anyone know when HDMI 2.1 AVR's will be releasing?

I currently own the AVR-S720W and having an issue with Atmos. Well, I believe it's an issue. When I play a game that support's Atmos- The receiver says it is receiving an atmos signal. The same goes for Netflix (okja) is Atmos enabled and my receiver will also show atmos. Using the Dolby app, I can watch the Atmos samples and they also show Atmos signal on the receiver. The info screen for the receiver says
Signal: Atmos
Sound: Atmos

However when I watch a 4k movie with an atmos track. The receiver says Sound: DolbyTHD + Dolby S
Signal: Dolby TRUEHD

Does anyone have any idea's why this happens? It does not matter the movie, I can select the atmos track and it still shows TrueHD

This happens on both the Xbox one S and Xbox one X

Do you guys keep the auto lip sync turned on or off on your denon receivers? Does it usually do a good job at keeping everything in sync? I noticed on a few blu rays the audio and video were out of sync but others don't have any problems at all. I'm wondering what's causing the inconsistency

Mines off but that’s because I haven’t noticed any sync issues.

I just expanded my 5.4.2 setup to 7.4.4. Picked up an X6300H. Still waiting for it to be delivered with my second pair of Klipsch RP140 SA speakers. Pretty pumped up to get it all hooked up and see what it can do for me. This will be my first time using a Denon amp and audyssey software. I hope it all works out as it cost me a pretty penny.
