Default Your favorite comic book. Then and Now?

I grew up with Spidey, felt like I knew the man behind the mask (Peter Parker). In many ways I related to him, understood his plight. I guess growing up we're all in search of a hero. Comics, for me, back in the 80's were flourishing: Secret Wars, X-Men, Daredevil and Spiderman were really branching out. Who can forget the emergence of Todd McFarlane the comic world. Whats more is who would have known the impact he would have on the comic world. Noone had ever seen artwork like this. Today, while I don't believe comics still hold that same magic as my teenage years i still find them enjoyable. THE MAXX by Sam Keith renewed my faith in Comics ability to, "root for the underdog." Currently I am wrapped up with Detective Richard Fell. If you like comics and you haven't read FELL your missing a real treat. I'm also digging KICK ASS which was recommended by the store GEEK! What about you guys any comic readers?
