I saw HOC S05 on Blu late last year, and was impressed by how good this season was - excellent. Yes, it wasn't as intense as past seasons, but it was still well-done & compelling.
That being said, I think the show should end with S06 (if they're even making a S06). I do think it can survive without KS - and, based on the storyline at the end of S05, it seems like his wife is poised to "take over" and he's in the sidelines (at least temporarliy). I do think Robin Wright & the supporting cast can carry a season. And, I can easily see KS being written off the show without a problem. That also being said, if great TV shows last too long, they eventually run out of steam. I think HOS should definitely quit while it's ahead. |
