I'm writing an article about double dipping and I'd love some feedback from you guys, there are huge age gaps going way back to early media, to today's 4K.
What in your mind makes it worth your money to double dip? You can own the DVD of a film you love and then pick it up on Blu Ray for the dramatic increase of resolution, but do you jump again for 4k? Do you only upgrade certain films? What makes you spend your money again? When you own a Blu-Ray version of a film and then the 20th anniversary comes out in the same format, will you purchase it for the new 'lenticular' cover with bonus features and "new never before seen" scenes? What makes you buy it again in the same format? Is it based on quality? Is it based on FOMO? (fear of missing out) Is it a collecting problem? Do you blindly buy certain movies again and again simply because it's one of your all time favorites? Why? Thanks in advance for the input. ![]() Last edited by kyloren; 02-28-2018 at 08:28 PM. |
