Default bought a Sony BDP-S350 - have some questions

Hello everyone, I recently bought a new Sony Bravia 52" LCD HDTV (V series) and I decided to be this BDP-S350 blu ray player because I was getting a good deal. First, did I make the right choice? I know it has been out for a while now and I have updated my firmware. Also, can I use wireless internet connection to download new firmware?

One more question, it has a USB port at the back. I usually don't go out and rent DVD's because my ISP offers movie downloads straight from their website that are quite cheap actually. I tried to put the movie file in a USB and put it in the USB port of the BDP and I went to Video - Data but it kept saying to you want to erase some blu ray data...I clicked yes and tried again but it didn't let me watch the movie from the USB stick.

For movie downloads, you can check Bell Canada's video downloads website, usually about $2-$4 to buy a movie and that's pretty cheap instead of going out and renting a DVD if anyone was interested.
