These movie logo + character collages seem brainless to me. I want art. This is why I am no longer a VIP.

At this point, everyone should know about Disney's artwork restrictions and what to expect from any steelbook/slip artwork. As wishful as it might be, I highly doubt Disney will do a 180 and suddenly start allowing whatever art to be used.

The only distributor offering theatrical posters as Steelbook art has absolutely no reason to do so. Nobody likes or wants that. Nope, not at all. None.

I don't think many people understand how difficult it is to get an approved artwork for steelbook or slipcovers for that matter. Every artworks need to be approved by the publisher/distributor or have been used by said publisher/distributor. Retailers (Blufans, NovaMedia, Kimchi, FilmArena, Zavvi, Best Buy, etc.) cannot used any artwork, whether it's by fans or the publisher, they like without having to pay license fees for the use of the artwork. So in order for Blufans to use "art" for their steelbook or slipcovers, they are required to pay additional license fee to the publisher, distributor, and artist, which will increase the price of the steelbook itself. By using poster artworks or readily available artworks by the publisher, Blufans can continue to keep the cost of their premium steelbook low.

And before anyone say anything about, "I don't mind paying extra for a better artwork," well, let's just say that you're not the majority. Also, please keep in mind that Blufans is a business, if their products can't sell or there's not enough demands due to the high cost, then they will be out of business.

Using existing poster artworks or not shouldn’t have any difference in license fees. It only matters in the artwork approval process. Marvel or Disney have a database of approved artworks where Blufans can take their pick. If Blufans chooses not to use any of the pre-approved artworks then the process takes longer and runs the risk of getting rejected most of the time.

Exactly my point. If Blufans use existing artworks, they don't need to pay additional license fee, however, if they want to use artwork made by other artists such as Matt Taylor, they are required to pay Matt Taylor a license fee to use his artwork. Which is why Blufans and a lot of premium steelbook retailers mainly used poster artwork for their steelbook, it's cheaper and a lot quicker to be approved.

You cannot really use the words "quick" and "Blufans" in one sentence

Totally agree with you. It's not that simple for get a desire or special artwork for just paying extra money there are rules to follow. One easy sample is Dunkirk which first plan to be BE but then change to OAB because it's not simple working with Nolan, all artwork (event promotion material) has to be approved by director himself), you know people as big ego like Nolan don't care how much extra money you pay.

If anyone not satisfying with an artwork, simply don't buy. Complaining would not help to changing a process...
