Default Dell XPS M1710 Blu Ray Problems

Ok well I own a Dell Laptop and I thought I'd give Blu Ray a try and I picked up a Blu Ray Drive for my laptop. Just the drive no software. Little did I know this would not work. So 3 days later after getting the drive I now have Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra for BD support and HD DVD support. I own an xbox 360 as well and it's HD DVD drive. I tried out the drive on my laptop and it works fine. So why isn't myBlu Ray drive working?

I'm trying to watch the movie Pirates and it just sits there saying Loading in the Pirate Text, and does nothing for 15 mins now. And I bought the disk I'm just having no luck.
