It doesn't really matter with the first two, but Red must be watched last.

The best way to see them is in order: Blue, White, Red.

That theater is messing up the rotation, and someone should let them know that. Like the posters above me stated, Red has to be watched last for maximum effect.

See White and Blue and the first screening and then Red at the second one.

Yeah, it's hard to imagine anything other than Blue, White, Red as a running order. Red definitely ought to be last, but putting White in the middle for a little comic relief is pretty essential too, I think.

I've seen the 4KDCP in theatre, it blew the old transfer Criterion used away, sadly the UK blu-ray from Cult Films was poorly encoded.

I mean if the film looks interesting or worth the money to you, then buy it. I, like everyone else like a fair share of movies that aren’t universally celebrated, and I dislike a few films that are universally recognized as “great films”. So far I’ve only bought one Criterion out of the 80 or so I own that I strongly disliked, and most were blind buys, so you’re generally the best judge of what you should buy. |

There is no Barnes and Noble location in the actual city of San Francisco. The only SF store closed over 7 years ago. I used to go to that one often during my younger years cause it was only a ten minute walk from where I lived. The closest store for me now would be at the Tanforan mall in San Bruno which is about a 10-15 minute drive south from the city. They have a decent size selection of Criterion titles which is often restocked during the sale. That is my go-to store for the sale though I haven't been going that often recently because of the inability to use coupons in conjunction with the sale. The Emeryville store has a decent size Criterion selection as well but you will have to cross the Bay Bridge to get there from the city and there is a $4-$6 bridge toll.

Kevin Costner is awesome (yeah he's been in some stinkers but who hasn't); he has a great range and has played a lot of very different characters.

Hmm...
Excellent news about Wanda, but the aspect ratio on the crappy non-anamorphic DVD is 1.66:1. The remastered footage in that trailer is 1.35:1. Anyway, Isabella Huppert deserves a shout-out for getting that rare gem on DVD in the first place and giving it more exposure. |
