Default DLP vs. 120 hz.

I currently own an older 720p Samsung 50" LCD DLP. I really like it but an ready for an upgrade. I have a wall unit and the thinness of an LCD is of no advantage to my set up. I am curious if I go with a replacement top series 1080p Samsung DLP, how much less quality will it be compared to a same size 50" Samsung 120hz LCD? I can save a decent amount of coin going with the DLP but I also want it to perform well. Any opinions?
