Blu-ray relative to NTSC/PAL

BD doesn't come with PAL or NTSC. PAL and NTSC are 'standard (quality)' television standards (sometimes SDTV).
BD comes with viariants of HDTV. These come also in many different flavors, so if you thought the PAL vs NTSC was over, think again.

However, it should be known that BD players will output a PAL signal if mounted to a PAL TV set (same goes for NTSC).
