So I need to replace my current sub woofer, as it is just clicking now and not producing any bass. I have asked on AVS, but they seem to be recommending some really expensive stuff rather than stay on budget so I thought that I would ask here.
What I Have Now: It started when I bought a Sony STR-DG510 5.1 receiver on Black Friday '07 from Best Buy, which I had originally hooked up some old HTiB speakers I had laying around. I replaced this in 2013 with a Yamaha RXV773 WABL. Speaker wise, back in 2008 I bought a JBL Venue Series SUB12 12-Inch 500-Watt Sub woofer . It has been a good little subwoofer, but I need to replace it now that it has stopped working. If it makes any difference, surround wise, I have a Polk CS1 center channel, some decent 3 way mountable speakers to use as the rear surround speakers, and a pair of Polk Monitor 60's for my front left and right speakers. I do have small kids, and I don't always crank up the bass anymore, but it would be nice to be able to crank it up for the occasional grown up films. I have a budget for around $400 or less. I have thought about getting two of these: https://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-12...NC5BRCCNWSXQYP As always, any help would be greatly appreciated! TL: DR Version: I need recommendations a new subwoofer for my living room. |
