^Yeah that is the only thing that got me close to buying Eva.

I still prefer a copy that can just be played in a BD player without having to do something to it. I personally find having to add my own subs or if muxing needs to be done, I might as well pirate it. I don't watch too much anime on my PC.

Cross-posting from the haul thread, and spoilered for bandwidth. Arrived in less than 48 hours and absolutely minty. The discs were pristine, better even than the discs from my Sentai LOTGH set (badum-CHING). In fact, everything was in pretty much perfect shape. No damage to the rigid plastic case or any of the digi trays (they thought enough to use bubble wrap inside AND outside the cardboard box). Everything is present: flyer, artbook and manga. Only some minor scuffing to the blue plastic, nothing that bothers me. I am a very happy camper right now.

Buy a Chromecast and cast it from your PC to your TV.

Geez I get it, I have an old iMac but it's dying (only boots up in safe mode with bars across the screen) and in the other room, until that gets replaced (waiting for black Friday) Chromecast is my only option to watch stuff on my TV.

Even without a 4K TV, watching 4K downgraded to 1080p still looks great.

No you don't

Nothing beat a good wire connection with a quality HDMI cable.
Certainely not a shitty wi-fi/bluetooth/whatever wireless alternative.

Does the XB1S do that? If so, I'm gonna pick it up around Black Friday. I don't have one due to it having few exclusive games (thanks Microsoft), but with Halo MCC being updated, and if it can downgrade to 1080p, I might pick one up.

It'd be no different from playing 360/PS3 games or watching Blu Rays on a CRT TV...not that I would suggest that. Sure you won't have HDR (Which is honestly the biggest draw for 4K imo) due to having a non-HDR TV but it's still great quality.
