This was a fun watch for the most part. Good premise, and some solid gore for a low budget production. The script felt a little messy, like they were unsure whether to go for a camp feel, satire, or take it seriously.
I was also a little confused by whether this was supposed to be a "period" movie or not. I mean, everything looks horribly dated, like it's the 1980's, with how they dressed, and the cars used, but then here's internet and compact cell phones. I don't believe it's supposed to be 2006, is it? That would be odd. But besides those nitpicks, I enjoyed it. The last scene especially left me smiling, and even wanting more. |
