Eagles acquired WR Golden Tate from the Eagles in exchange for a third-round pick.
Now this is a big-time move. Although now 30, Tate remains one of the league's best after-the-catch receivers and is a perfect fit for what the Eagles want to do on offense. He also addresses a drastic need for the defending Super Bowl champions. The Eagles will no longer have to run Jordan Matthews out there for 30 snaps per game. It is interesting that each of Tate, Nelson Agholor and Matthews are best utilized in the slot, though Tate is capable of playing outside if need be. Tate's arrival is unequivocally bad news for Agholor, who has had a poor season since Carson Wentz's return. As for the Lions, T.J. Jones will now slide into three-receiver sets alongside Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay. #GolladaySZN is back on. Tate will be a free agent at season's end. Oct 30 - 1:46 PM

Not by us hes our 3rd best receiver. Jones is better Golliday is better. Quinn is building this thing right. Im not paying him 10 mill a season for what hes done. When the eagles finish 8-8 this turns into a top 75 pick 17th pick in the 3rd round this was a fantastic move. This is a long ball move, this is a move for the future.

Our GM is trying to build a team that we can be proud of this is a good move.

BTW Lions had NO 3rd round pick this year. This is a football move, welcome to Real football the Patriots Way. which is what everyone was clamoring for.

This will enable us to move up Round 1 and get someone better to toss Next to Snacks like Raekwon Davis or maybe move up and get that DB we've so been clamoring for.

They were buyers for a great pass rusher - by far one of their best moves. But now to be sellers at the deadline trading away one of our offensive weapons? Hard to compete if you don't have players. If either Jones or Golladay goes down, we have lack of depth.

We can go back and forth, but for now I'll shelve it as a stupid move, and it'll be determined later how this goes down.

Then you don't know football. Your tossing TJ Jones in the slot now problem solved. They were not winning shit this year stop making it sound like they had a chance. I Love this trade a 3rd round pick for a guy whos NOT going to be here after this year.
