dragon53 Special Member Member since:Feb 2010	THE THING--James Arness space suit color? I have a model of James Arness as The Thing, but his space suit is the wrong color--brown. I once saw a photo of the actual Arness space suit at a Hollywood prop auction which said the space suit was black, but the photos of Arness on THE THING film set suggest it might be dark grey. Before I repaint my figure, do any of you know for sure what the real color of the Arness space suit was----black or dark grey? Wrong color---brown. Possible correct color. James Arness.
