Moonraker is my favorite. It's silly and fun to watch. I just enjoy the hell out of it. Brosnan is my favorite Bond with Moore a close second. I surprisingly enjoyed Craig more than I thought I would.

However, I do not like Connery's Bond at all. Although, a few of the movies were okay. Most did not age well at all.

All Bond movies without Sean Connery suck. And one of his did. David Niven's Casino Royale was better than Daniel Craigs.

The next Bond after Craig will either be gay or a girl. In either case, we will get Bond boys or maybe no sex at all.

Your post was both hilarious and tragically sad as well.

If you're watching Bond for realism you're doing it wrong.

I've noticed people liking spectre more lately, that's cool. I like it more than skyfall too.

Not liking Connery as bond is bizarre as he is Bond personified.

I like Colin Farrell but he seems utterly miscast here: he has no chemistry with either Jamie Foxx or Gong Li (though in all fairness and despite the fact that Li photographs like a goddess, her character is so rigid and emotionally inpenetrable I frankly can't imagine who could possibly have chemistry with her) and he often looks pained and lost beyond the requirements of the role. Mann's sense for loner heroes (and anti-heroes) combined with an aura of doomed romanticism continues to result in some hauntingly moody and visually gorgeous films, however; whatever their flaws they remain compelling.
Mann showed us early how digital should look, films coming out now still look like crap compared to this. There was a lot of turmoil behind the scenes of MV which you probably already knew about with both leads. Foxx refusing to shoot in certain areas and wanting to be driven all over the place or something and Farrell struggling with some serious drug addiction. His aloofness is a common thread with his acting and I think that's why he has fared better in indie roles lately. He's no Hollywood lead action star type. Credit to long time poster abdrewes who forced me to watch this when I joined years ago.

If Collateral didn't get dumb near the end we're talking about a borderline classic.

The only two Disney (not Pixar) animated movies I like are The Jungle Book and The Emperor's New Groove. The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King...yuck.

The Black Hole (1979) is not even really worth a "good movie" ranking but I still love it and want it on blu ray!

Movies should be one aspect ratio regardless if there is IMAX footage added. Constant height projection makes changing ratios a stupid gimmick.

My favorites aren't even the obvious. Atlantis, Treasure Planet, both Rescuer films, and Black Cauldron.... they all have one thing in common, they aren't musicals.... though i do have a soft spot for Oliver and Company and Great Mouse Detective.

Dick Van Dyke nearly ruins Mary Poppins (1964) with his terrible cockney accent.

The Wolfman 2010 is a solid movie, and Universal were on crack for releasing that chopjob, just because the superior director's cut didn't get to the transformation scene quick enough.

Agree. Anthony Hopkins does some of his best scene chewing in The Wolfman.

Absolutely; hell, just cutting the scene with the great Max Von Sydow out of the theatrical version was unforgivable.

Many people say Prince of Darkness is "lesser John Carpenter". I am not one of those people. It's a damn good movie, and quite scary.
