As exciting as this news is I actually am a bit disappointed on 2 fronts.

Let me celebrate what's good first. I love the idea of the STAR TREK TRILOGY. This is a natural to package them together for those who want to follow the complete genesis arc. This has been an overlooked way of packaging the series.

As for the bad, i'm disappointed that we don't have the option of the extended versions of I,II and VI (especially VI). Though I saw UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY theatrically, I don't even remember that version as the Home Video version is the only one i've known. I really appreciate Paramount using Lowry on these films but could they have sprung a little more for the extended edition versions and then make both available via seamless branching?

That leads me to ask, has Paramount released a BD with seamless branching?

Secondly, I wish they would release the films individually, though the trilogy interest me, i'm only planning on purchasing UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY. Seems with this series and Warner's THE BATMAN series, that those studios don't want my money till way late in the year.
