Default new Pioneer PDP 5020- blotchy, cloudy colors on break-in disc

I purchased a new non-Elite 5020 about 2 weeks ago, I have about 70-75 hours on it so far and notice the colors on the break-in disc are uneven across the screen, there are slightly lighter and darker areas which gives the appearance of a blotchy and streaky screen. It is not noticable in blacks, not too bad in dark blues, but noticable in reds and even in the whites, and atrocious in the greens.

The worst part is I can see this cloudiness and dirtiness when I'm watching a movie or regular tv when the camera pans over a solid color.

I am running the break-in disc through a Panasonic BD35 blu-ray player through a Denon receiver.

When I turn the tv off in the daytime I can see a little uneveness in the surface film when I look up close in the sunlight, it looks like possibly the anti-reflective film was applied unevenly as there are slightly lighter and darker areas. I wiped the screen with the cloth supplied with the TV and it was not dirty, it did not improve the situation.

Anybody else experience this? Anybody know what the true cause is? I am considering swapping it out at the moment.
