Pre-order up at Amazon UK. Same as Cap box set, also. Can’t justify US steelbook prices or single releases (almost triple the cost of this set!), especially since I’ve already purchased Zavvi steels these. Looking forward to these in 4K.

That weathered look might work for the Caps (America and Marvel) but I dunno if it suits (no pun intended) Iron Man.

That said, I don't already have a Steelbook for the first one so I might have to get it anyway lol

Wasn’t crazy about the border on the Captain America SteelBooks but after having all three side by side in person I love it. Seems like these new UHD SteelBooks are just taking the final theatrical posters and adding a matching border to the set.

Eager to see the border on the Thor trilogy. Is it like Mjolnir? Is it lightning? Is it Bifrost? Hope it doesn’t make the Ragnarok poster less awesome.

Lightning would be my guess. Mjolnir on the back of the first one and maybe the Aether on the back of the second (Ragnarok's already has the gladiator helmet on the back).

Wow, that is another sweet A** steel!

I am not big into steelbooks, meaning that I will buy it if it my favorite looking release, but that applies to all options (standard slip, steel, digi, etc.). With these 4k releases though, I think the standard slips will all follow the same format as the Captain America 4k slips, which to me means it will be an easy choice as to which format I buy. In the end, it will more than likely be the steelbooks.

Looking ahead, that sort of sucks since Thor Ragnarok already has an awesome looking 4k slip, and it's more than likely the standard 4k versions will all follow the same format as the Cap 4ks... grrr...

Edit: Well, i guess there is some hope, as I did prefer the 4k slips for the avengers releases. I forgot about them.

Ahhhh! That steel looks great! I'm so happy these will match the Captain America ones with the theatrical posters reproduced with a character-specific border. The second and third films should look equally good with that border.

If the Thor ones match these, I think the swirly design on Mjolnir would look really classy for the borders. If Best Buy decides to re-release Ragnarok in a new steel to match the rest, though, the Mjolnir design won't look so hot with that poster's neon color scheme.

I wonder what the picture quality will be like though? The reviews for Captain America First Avenger suggested it was not a huge improvement over the blu-ray. Atmos and HDR will be great additions though!

But.. I have them all on blu-ray, so not a day one purchase, I'll buy the box set when the price drops.

Iron Man was shot entirely on film (as opposed to Cap, which was shot on digital iirc), so it should look phenomenal. Other on-film superhero films like the Raimi trilogy, Nolan’s Batman, or some of the X-Men films (like Apocalypse) have phenomenal 4K transfers so unless Disney mucks it up somehow it should look very, very nice.

It will come out my guess is on the 13th of August or the 20th to go along with Endgame.
