My head is going crazy. First I was going to go with the 5020 but then I started reading about 200 hours break it,zooming, Burn in,IR problems.
Then I fell in love with the samsung ln55a950 The best I could do was 4 grand out the door at bestbuy. Wife said are you ^%$#@$ *&*^&$&). SO my dreams on that is shot down. Then went down to the ln52a750 good price right around 2200.00 taxed and shipped from bestbuy. Good reviews. I understand that new models are coming out within a 12 weeks or so. But I don't wan't to be a stunt dummy and test out a new tv. The 750 is almost at it's end so all bugs are pretty much out. People who have this tv how are the black levels, and clouding? Then I read this Lifespan The difference is probably not important, but yes, CCFLs don't last as long. Even more significant is that their output decreases over time. End of life is when they are half as bright. LEDs are solid state devices, and "fall off the cliff" in failure mode; in other words, they keep working like when they were new until they stop working. ******************* Any info would help. |
