Hi Grazina,

Tell me about it. Remember I first found one I called a defective detective ?
Was hearheartbroken. Took almost two years before one suddenly appeared on Yes Asia or eBay and I jumped upon it.

INFINITY WAR and ENDGAME are good for comic book movies.

Watched The Meg for the first time in 3D last night. The movie is what it is, dumb in a good kind of way (if you're into that sort of thing).

Sadly the 3D was totally underwhelming. Very low to barely mid. It coulda shoulda woulda been a perfect movie for strong, well thought out 3D.

Suppose I could've edited my post, but I'll go ahead and reply to myself.

Looked at some of the comments regarding the 3D for this one on the thread for it. See that most people liked the 3D. Was just talking with the wife about the 3D experience last night and we may have come up with a theory as to why it didn't get a fair shake.

We have two rows of seating in our theater, two seats in front and three in the back. Because we had a friend over last night we sat in the back row. Thinking being further away from the screen had an adverse effect. Curious if anyone else here has had similar experiences? Is there a certain distance where the 3D suffers when watching at home. Our screen is 118", first row is about ten feet from the screen, second row about six feet past that on a riser.

Finally got around to mortal engines.

A different premise separates it from the usual apocalypse film so it seemed more of a space invasion type movie. Comic book fun made enjoyable by the 3D, which had good depth with some subtle objects slowly coming out of the screen.

Watched XXX: Return of Xander Cage

Not the greatest movie in the world, but has some fantastic action scenes. Likable characters especially Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen and Ruby Rose.

Excellent 3D though, which certainly puts this on the rewatch list. I would probably never watch again otherwise.

Movie 6 out of 10
3D 8 out of 10

Since many of know off the top of your head if a title is region free, Can anyone please tell me if Zavvi and Amazon are correct regarding Assassin's Creed being region B only?

And yes, I have searched through this site and have not found the answer.

I'm a regular lurker that posts infrequently. Thanks for your help.

Good 3D, no English. Anyone know if this was released anywhere in English? I only have Russian audio. It's Mission Impossible Lego 3D

Yes, should be region free as that is the title on the main thread.

Watched two today. Medieval battle and Gulliver's travels.

Medieval battle had very good 3D so it depends upon whether one is interested in how people lived during the dark ages to say how good it is overall. It was filmed at what was probably a living history museum making one feel like a visitor with a tour guide opposed to visual computer effects making one feel more like they are reliving the past. To me, that was what made it interesting but dull. Yet again, good vibrant 3D.

Now how do I explain Gulliver's Travels? Having read so much about it, went into it looking for major faults from beginning to end.

It is not at all as bad and did not deserve the major criticism it received. The 3D was present at all times.. Though it could have been stronger, never did I feel I was watching a flat picture nor obsessed thinking how the 3D could have been better, even though there was room for improvement.

I actually enjoyed the movie. There were some very funny moments and overall a film one could just sit back and relax watching.

So if one doesn't have this yet, would recommend it. Again with medieval battle, it's more a matter of individual preference and presentation. No problem with the 3D.

Just ordered "The Guillotines". A martial arts film from 2013, many on imdb said it was much better than the reviews it got. Those who saw it only in 2D said it was obviously made for 3D. Produced by Peter Chan.
