As Netflix redubbed the whole franchise in several languages - are there any samples of the new dubs already avaiable as trailer / teaser?

It'll be weird if we're without a trailer after this week. We're so close to release, why would they not have a dub trailer handy?

that has to be the weirdest thing Netflix has ever done. Are they ashamed of the new dub?

It may get some backlash due to the original voice actors not returning.

I've tried looking through this thread a bit but haven't seen anything so I'll just ask.

Do we know yet if Netflix is including the japanese, old english and new english dubs? Or are they leaving out the old english dub?

No way they'll be including the old dub.

I would actually argue that EoE and Eps 25+26 are actually the same events and happen at the same time, just from totally different perspectives.

That said, I would agree with professorwho otherwise on watch order.

Most Netflix anime just appear on the service with no trailer or dub cast announcement. I doubt we'll know anything about the cast until it's streaming.

Regardless, I hope whoever picks up the show for a Blu-ray includes both dubs. I know Discotek would certainly at least try.

There's a good chance Netflix has home video rights they'll do nothing with as it's quite common for home video rights to be bundled with streaming these days. I'd ideally like Sentai Filmworks to get it so those extras from the ADV DVDs aren't lost. Also we'd get a pretty sweet premium release. Discotek would be a great second choice though. FUNimation though, ugh, please no.

Sadly, I doubt Sentai will Get Eva. ADV sued Gainax back in the day (remember that), and I doubt Gainax and/or Khara want to work with a company who previously sued them.

The fact no netflix "Original" Of the past two years has even been licensed in America really does make me doubt it will get licensed but AX is July so surprises will be welcome.

Watch Netflix make it a Target exclusive alongside the Stranger Things Blu-rays lol

Viz Media would be the most likely to do a Blu-ray release considering their good relations with Netflix (Blame!, Castlevania Season 1), but the release would be barebones, and while it would be hybrid, only the new English dub, as well as a Spanish dub would be enough for Viz. Discotek Media on the other hand... well, let me put it this way. With influence of how ADV titled their collections of Evangelion, I call this "Neon Genesis Evangelion Legacy Collection."

TL;DR: Discotek Media is the most likely to give us this. Includes BOTH VERSIONS of the ADV dub, and the original Manga movies dub (I call "Originify") along with the Netflix "Legacy" dub, all extras from their previous English releases (including all animatics and commentaries), potential new extras such as interviews conducted by Discotek and Netflix separately, and maybe some features from the Japanese releases as well.

Tell me if I did anything wrong.

Although, like I said, the most likely to distribute this series in general is Viz Media.

Yeah, but NGE is far from most anime.
