As did Double Face.

Messaged them on FB regarding Andromeda and Grand Duel, they said they received stock today but it hadn't been processed in time, and will be back in stock before the sale ends.

I followed that up by asking them about the June preorders which just disappeared

Ordered:

Woman is the Future of Man, Tale of Cinema: Two Films by Hong Sangsoo
Scared Stiff Blu-ray Ltd Ed Slipcase (screw it!)

18 quid for the two. Then I ordered:

Three Films by Jia Zhangke Dual Format
De Niro & De Palma: The Early Films Blu-Ray

40 quid for the two.

So, I ended up paying more for the De Niro & De Palma set, which I was going to get in HMV, but I freaked out when I saw the Jia Zhangke included. Still happy with those for 20 quid apiece.

Nice some Academy stuff is included. But I'll pick the rest of my wants up from HMV.

Noticed a few Academy rarities up there, including The Taisho Trilogy, Jia and Koreeda sets. Slightly annoyed they've added Academy titles as I wouldn't have bought Phantom Lady from HMV the other week and got it here instead (would've saved me a few quid).

Regarding the disappeared June preorders

"We're just working out the functionality as their release date is affecting the sale"

Might snag Grand Duel and Lifeforce from Zavvi then, and wait for Andromeda (not on Zavvi) to come back in stock and Double Face to reappear from Arrow

Not only did my order for Love+Anarchism go through but the Taisho Trilogy boxset is back on the site. And wasn't the sale supposed to be limited to Arrow Video anyway ? Something's really wrong here

I note that Academy only goes up to early April, nothing newer, so probably just titles that would have been included in a normal sale anyway

I tried to add some bonus points upon paying for my order but it would not let me.

Sale seems ok, but some of the titles have been cheaper before in other sales so basically in some cases you pay more for two titles then one might have paid before by purchasing them indivdually. I mean "The Visitor" is 18 pounds, seems likely to me it would be a 7,5 £ title normally, they have even sold it for 5£ on one occation.

I think this sale works out best for LE sets and newly released movies.

Wanted Andromeda Strain & The Grand Duel, but both out of stock...

Anyways I just bought an even number of £15 titles, so they're the usual 7.50 each deal:

Heathers
The Long Good Friday
Mona Lisa
The Villainess
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
Tales of Terror
The Raven
The Haunted Palace
The Tomb of Ligeia
The Pit and the Pendulum
The Night of the Hunter
Battle Royale (Theatrical Cut)

Well, that was underwhelming. Went for:

Black Moon Rising
The Fifth Cord

Never liked BOGOF offers, I always end up wanting an odd number of items.

Yeah I had to delete one of mine to make it even, and couldn't get anything priced at £18 to go with Black Moon Rising

I am sooo happy I got snap Family Values: Three Films by Hirokazu Kore-eda together with the De Palma / De Niro set! Family Values all but disappared over the last few month, to the point that I already gave up on ever adding it to my collection. I could not be more happy with this!

Only wanted the Larraz set but had to bundle it with something, Sister Street Fighter was unfortunately out of stock so went with the Ring Collection even though I don't like those movies or japanese horror in general. So yeah, trade bait I guess.

I can understand being disappointed when sales apply to a questionable selection of items only, or offer moderate discounts, but here almost the entire catalog can be had for effectively half the price, what is there to be underwhelmed about ?

Unless they were holding onto some stock for this sale, I'm a bit worried the appearance of some deleted items might be some kind of mistake.

Picked up Phantasm, Withnail and I, The Initiation, The Fifth Cord, Kolobos and finally I got to buy Horror Express. The Andromeda Strain is now the only title on my wishlist. Too bad it went out of stock so fast.

I was after Blind Woman's Curse and The Big Clock, both of which are in stock but, alas, not in the offer.

Picked up American Horror Project 2 from Zavvi bc it's a little cheaper than direct from Arrow. Wasn't really interested in any of the other £45 sets (I already have the House collection and Larraz) so grabbed Last House on the Left which I've been putting off buying for a while. Gonna have a quick browse through Arrow's site but I think I've got pretty much everything I want that's not OOP.
