The Dolby Vision part yes, I have my doubts as well. But HDR10+ can be found.

Warner said they were waiting until they could author both on disc, must have the same package as Universal.

Still wouldn't hold my breath about disc reissues though...

So Universal is abandoning Dolby Vision in favor of HDR10+?

For which they rarely used DV in the first place for disc releases, isolated cases aside (foreign Gladiator, Schindler's List). Can't 'give up' on something that you didn't use. 10+ adoption for catalogue stuff is an interesting development nonetheless as it means whatever barrier there was to putting DV on catalogue discs - most likely mastering costs, NOT licensing but the actual time and cost of creating a DV disc - is not an issue with 10+.

Give what a rest? They may yet drop 10+ entirely.
I see many doing a Disney and just going straight 10.

Panasonic seem to be supporting HDR10, HDR10+ and DV currently with their 4k players, so no reason to think it's the end of HDR10+

HDR10+ was developed by a consortium of three companies— 20th Century Fox, Panasonic, and Samsung...so the fact that Panasonic is now supporting DV alongside HDR10+ is a major deal...almost like when HD-DVD and Blu-ray were going at it and the tide shifted to BR

everyone should but tell that to Samsung and some of the major studios such as 20th Century Fox...they're turning this into a format war

No, you mean LG.
LG are making the war.

I would say no. There's not much of an interest in HDR10+ on this forum because it's a format that is only meant to help TVs that are 500 nits or lower, and the majority of regular posters here have much better TVs than that.
