That art features entirely too many words to read and not nearly enough glow-in-the-dark for your average DF consumer, hopefully this problem gets rectified

You just went on the record and confirmed. ONLY 1,000 Dead Pit can be pressed.

So I guess this answers the question to anyone thinking they will press addition Dead Pit without slips. Unless of course, DK gave you another $15,000 or whatever amount to press more. If not, then no more can legally be pressed.

? Dead Pit without slips is coming whether it's sold by dark force or someone else.

The 1000 number is regarding the LE.

That's been known from the beginning. DF paid for 1,000. If they want to do more they have to pay for more. You can even hear Dave and Bill going back and forth about it in one of the live streams.

1,000 is regarding Dead Pit. Slips or not.

Source is Dark Force / Code Red , this is old news

1000 LE
Then a non limited run
Was always the plan

The only wildcard is if DF now decides to do a 2nd LE run w/ different slip since first one did so well before the non slip run

I know. That's why I stated as such. But people have to stop thinking it's guaranteed that Dead Pit is going to get another print. It's up to Bill and whoever he sells the rights to. Nothing is confirmed or set in stone. Only thing confirmed is 1,000 pressed. That was the deal.

Gonna need actual quotes to this and links. Bill or DF can confirm if they want to with details.

Until that happenes. No more being pressed.

Hello winterbox, I could be wrong on this don't take it the wrong way, it seems to me that a throaway statement rendered on a forum is not a legally binding contract for Dead Pit, in other words, I would firmly expect shady business practice wherever there is an easy, dirty and cheap dollar to be made.

I haven't picked up any of the other drive-in titles yet but I think I'll go for Dragon Vs. Needles of Death (aka, guy who just throws 4" construction nails, based on the trailer I watched). It's hard to turn down potentially bad-good kung fu flicks.

Agreed. That's why I've pointed out the deal everytime it's been mentioned. That said it's as close to a guarantee as you can get with Code Red. Bill needs the money for medical expenses, and DP was the best selling title DF has ever had.

The only real wildcard(which is a huge one) is Bill's ability to burn bridges. This of course is the one bridge I would love to see go up in flames.

Debbie Downer: The Sequel....

David and Bill both confirmed that they did a one time deal for 1000 of Dead Pit, having nothing whatsoever to do with David's independent decisions and plans about marketing, including the high-gloss, glow-cover. David was clear that he would do a slip-less run, if the LE sold well, which it did. Both clarified, more than once, stating that they would negotiate a second deal for David to press another 1000, which David confirmed would be a slip-less/standard edition, but that deal has not yet been made. (Given the lower profit on a slip-less edition, they are probably haggling over the same $15,000, which would be too high for David to see much profit there and would kill the deal, hence the delayed announcement.... Possibly forever?)

David paid for the restorative work on this edition, the prep at the plant, so it is unlikely Bill will say, "Hey, let me pay you now, for your restoration on this sucker, so I can suffer through pressing the second 1000 as my own release, which is unlikely to sell as quickly and may not sell out at all, which you'll be distributing for me anyway". That would just be a waste of Bill's time. So, whoever said it might come from somewhere else, must be referring to spacemen, as Bill is the world rights owner and he's not doing the second 1000 himself.

The issue of a second pressing is only up in the air as they discuss the amount David would have to pay, for the second run, and as they discuss the term of legal sale. Five years is what I'd insist on, given he may not find it as easy to sell the last 500 of a 2000 total run. Can anyone say "multiple storage units"?

Also, for the record, I buy nearly all of Bill's blus, but I do know a few people who skip over releases, routinely, having said exactly what Bill said a few days ago: They want to know that it's out and that they have the option to buy it, but, when it comes to pulling the trigger, they end up deciding not to get it and it ends up in a storage unit in Washington.

Sorry, Ruined, but there may not be a second run or it may be a while before they can work it out. Plus David has multiple releases already in the pipeline for the next few months and Dead Pit's first run hasn't sold out yet.

No need to read it, unless you are one of the ones waiting for information about Dead Pit and the issue of a second pressing, which a few people here are. Some of us care about the movies.

And ALL of us don't care about your long-winded ramblings. You could have cut those paragraphs down to one or two sentences, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Bannings aren't getting through that old head?

SMH. I end up skipping long posts like that. Comes off as pretentious. I come here to talk about films not be talked down too.
