Man, no one can be so thick. There was nothing clever about the title change. It was an bias attempt to pit one side against the other. Can you honestly say you don’t see your hypocrisy here Steedeel? This is why no one takes anything you say as serious as you do.

Isn't rationalization grand?

My sins aren't sins at all; they are perfectly understandable exceptions that HAVE to be made so that I am denied nothing.

Your transgressions, however, are damnable acts of treachery!

He accused me of abandoning physical media within a year of my having redeemed my first digital code; a code that came with my disc purchase.

I rented a movie from Vudu and he again accused me of abandoning physical media. After my rental, I bought the movie on 4K disc.

He was wrong on both counts. I still buy my content exclusively on disc, so much for another of his certain predictions, and I have never purchased a digital copy.

Judgmental, self-righteous, and hypocritical: his trifecta of rationalization

I liked it. Don't be so rude Donster. You always have to get personal.

And now he's saying that I am a digital supporter too and I must be lying.

Steedeel thinks he has an amazing ability to see a terrible future. But he continues to support the very things that will cause this future to happen.
I use Netflix (included with my cable package) it’s hardly sleeping with the enemy is it?

Sure it is. Netflix is what made streaming so popular; supporting Netflix is absolutely going against everything you claim to stand for.
No, the internet made Netflix possible. Something you use every day. That being the case, shouldn’t you be boycotting the net? The internet made streaming video a thing.

Have you lost your reading comprehension again? I never said that losing films were trivial; I said that your seemingly inescapable predictions were comparatively trivial to the fate that really awaits us all: our deaths. I asked you what is the point in dwelling upon such dark topics if there is nothing that can be done about them? How can obsessing about your unpleasant dark fantasies possibly enrich our lives? What is the value of it?

Again, Sherlock, I never said that you could not discuss these things; I simply asked why discuss them if there is nothing that we can do about them? Why not imagine every real terrible thing that could happen to ourselves and the ones we love and squander more of ever lessening lifetime in fruitless and unhealthy mind games?

It is like you are ever engaged in some kind of sado-masochistic mental masturbation that feeds some insatiable dark perversion. I don't understand why you, or anyone, would want to spend so much time focused on things that only make them unhappy.

I wouldn't put up with that if it was derogatory. Boss or worker.
What job do you have and do they have a branch in Texas? I’m sorry, but there’s no job out there globally where you don’t have to eat shit and grin. You might not like it, but has done it in their life. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar. Instead of a GIF l’ll leave you with instead.

I worked at my local college for 20 years as liaison officer and event organiser and now I work with adults with autism and other various challenges on a one to one basis.

The internet also enabled the ability to buy physical media that isn't available at local stores. That's a far bigger positive then streaming video is a negative. Physical media & online marketplaces combine to make something far greater than either of them could separately.

Streaming & cable are both far worse than physical media. I will not support them at all.

You have completely lost all traces of having had any reading comprehension. Are you somebody near, and not especially dear's, twin?

You are obsessed about reading comprehension. Do you get a honk every time you mention it? Or bonus points for a Christmas club?

Of course you wouldn't. You'd just get on social media and anonymously challenge them to a fist fight.

On the railroad snitches meet fates similar to those who snitch in prison. Not saying that its right, but it is a fact.

OMG, are you actually accusing anyone else of being obsessed! Oh, that's priceless! You are the international poster child for OCD if ever there was one!

I wish I got a deposit into a Christmas Savings account every time that someone said that you were bonkers; I'd have one jolly holiday if only!

Sure it is. Netflix is what made streaming so popular; supporting Netflix is absolutely going against everything you claim to stand for.

Additionally I still don't understand anyone's rational of thinking digital is bad but cable is fine. They both have the same disadvantage over physical media: the studios control everything, you can only watch what is officially available at any given time.
He's a saint- just ask him; he believes firmly in doing unto others what they have done unto him. Amen.

I will make a distinction about cable TV, though. Cable TV never pretended to offer you anything of permanence like digital purchases do; there was no ambiguity about what you were paying for here. No mile long "screw you" EULAS like those that govern digital purchases.

At one time, it was super easy to record your own hard copy of any program that you watched on Cable TV. You could record it on tape or DVD media easily and then the recorded content was in your actual possession. This can still be done, but they have made it so much harder to do in a clear effort to put a stop to it. Cable TV asserts full control now, but at least they make no pretense about it.

I'd like to expand on my previous point so you see how much I like the internet.

Physical Media with Online Marketplaces:
+Thousands of titles available (practically everything that has ever been released)
+Nothing can ever be taken away or modified
+Anything that is broken or lost can be easily replaced

Streaming And Downloads:
+Thousands of titles available
-Anything can be removed or modified at any time
-Availability of each title is controlled by the studios
-Price of each title is controlled by the studios

Physical Media without Online Marketplaces:
-Hundreds of Titles Available (only what happens to be available locally)
+Nothing can ever be taken away or modified
-If something breaks or is lost it may be difficult or impossible to replace
-Very difficult and time consuming to browse what is available
-Very difficult and time consuming to compare prices

Physical media without online marketplaces is by far the worst of those 3 options.

They are equally terrible but digital purchases pretend to be better.
