Well, I've used some really nice DVD players equipped with Reon and ABT. I guess we will just have to disagree about it being average. It's not up with the best, but don't think it's fair to call it average either. Maybe you should stop into Best Buy (or equivalent) and see what an "average" upconverting player gets you.

I don't even like PS3's, so don't get the wrong idea.
