The quality is awful though, and I cannot recommend it. The fact that it's a downscale from a digital HD source is plain as day. The film-sourced animated shows from back in the day fare a lot better on DVD. I would kill to see a properly done remaster of the classic Simpsons and King of the Hill. I'm not sure when King of the Hill had made the transition to digital, but the early seasons at least were done on film.

Considering that they're MOD anyway, I don't quite understand why FOX isn't offering a Blu-ray option. Hell, Blu-ray should be the *only* option. I am mildly tempted to grab the remaining seasons, but I just can't justify paying through the teeth for such crap looking DVDs, and the fact that they're MODs makes them even less appealing. I could opt for iTunes (ugh) but then I'd have to tolerate the low bitrates without the benefit of having a physical copy.

I’ve been watching the price on the remaining seasons using camelcamelcamel.
Amazon refunded me on one of the season and let me keep the disc. As long as I watch them on my smaller bedroom tv and not the larger 4K tv it doesn’t seem that bad. Haha. It fixes the pixelation, but not the color issue.
