Speaking of Jin-roh, is there a physical release (or planned release) anywhere of the recent South Korean live action film?

Nope, not even one planned. Usually when something drastically underperforms, it’s gonna be a while before it sees any kind of physical release. At least that’s my experience with seeking out Korean films. One from 2015 I’ve been wanting just got a DVD and BD release.

That's a shame, thanks for the info. I'm not huge into contemporary films, but I find that South Korea has the most promising cinema of any country right now (IMO, obviously).

I wish this release had the storyboards like the Bandai Visual release. I see no reason to double-dip for this release otherwise.

Considering it's streaming exclusively on Netflix I presume it'll be a while before we see a Korean Blu-ray release tbh.

Japanese Promare BRD slated to be released February 5th. Doesn't look like itll have English subs based on the info presented. Hopefully that'll change, cause I'm sure the LE will look awesome.

Yeah for sure. Seems like a lot to import especially for a show I have not seen and probably won't care for. Doesn't look like my cup of tea. Do like that box art though. Even if it doesn't really represent the series well.

I don't even know if it has subs either. I couldn't get the page to translate for some reason. But yeah it is pretty costly. I hope someone here saves it and puts it on BD. Maybe RS can put it out on BD after the Japanese release if they still have the license.

Nozomi is getting better and better about upgrading their stuff to blu so it is very possible. Probably won't get that nice artbox though unless they kickstart it.

I really hope they wouldn't rely on a KS just for slipbox lol.

Well they haven't released slipboxes for any other their other blus that aren't Gundam really. I am happy to have them for Emma and Aria though.

That's the Limited Edition version. I've attached the Standard Edition version to this post.

Same illustration, but quite different coloring; I was planning to get the LE for the booklet, but after seeing the boxes I decided to get the Standard.

Yup. Made her face rounder and reduced the muscle on her bottom half. I think he changed Kei's jawline a bit to. The character designs are more modern. Seems he forgot the Dirty Pair girls have some nice thiccness to them...

Not sure if I'm late to seeing these or when they were listed, but I've been checking Amazon Japan periodically and just saw them today. The Made in Abyss movies are now listed:

They don't appear to have English Subs, like the series' release. Now, because the sequel to the series is going to be the "Dawn of the Deep Soul" movie, which I suppose is also technically the "third" in this "trilogy" of movies... I definitely plan to buy these JP versions... And then I'll be buying Sentai's inevitable English Dub releases of all three... Sorry wallet...
