Les Misérables (2019)

Saw a trailer for this today with Honey Boy, being another Amazon Studios distributed film. Looks good. It will be France's submission for Best International Film at the upcoming Academy Awards. Releases on January 10th in the US.

Inspired by the 2005 riots in Paris, LES MISÉRABLES – directed by Ladj Ly – follows Stéphane (Damien Bonnard), a recent transplant to the impoverished suburb of Montfermeil, as he joins the local anti-crime squad.
