Personally, I really like the Transformers films. I don't understand the hate they get from some people. Yes, some of the jokes and innuendo are pretty lame, but I still find them highly entertaining. 1st, 3rd, and 4th films are terrific, 5th is pretty good, Bumblebee was OK, and the 2nd was just 'meh'. If you're set up for it, I highly recommend seeing the 3rd, 4th and 5th films in 3D.

29.99 is a great price for this Superman bluray box set, even if it does have Superman IV in it.

I was looking to buy Solo on regular blu-ray but was hoping it was going to drop down to the $10-$15 zone. I see Amazon has it for $20 down from $25. Any chance it will go lower, or at this point does it seem Disney won’t have it much lower than $20?

Thanks for the info. My fault for not checking the other threads. Hoping I can still grab one for that price then. I assume it’s an in-store only deal.

It was in-store only after what appeared to be a glaring price glitch that lasted at WMs across Canada for a week or so. However, it would definitely by YMMV at this stage because RFD (which had posted the error initially) quickly got filled with newer posts from people stating all the WMs they went to a week later had put them all back to their original prices of $20 for the Blus and more for the ones available in 4K, and that the deal was dead.....

pretty sure it was just a clearout, as they did have $4 price stickers on the racks which wouldn't happen with an error (not to mention it happening a week prior to Rise of Skywalker hitting theatres). either way, sorry that you missed it, it was a better deal than anything on BlackFriday/Boxing Day combined.

It’s possible, but the WMs I went to to collect a set only had the $20 stickers, and a cashier at one was really surprised when they rang up at $4 and $8.50, saying “That’s weird - WM ain’t making much money off of these....”. I wonder if the stores which stickered the racks at $4 and $8.50 did so when they received the initial prices through HQ, but it still seems odd WM would have lowered them to that extent on purpose when they were still selling everywhere else in Canada for $20+ for the Blus and more for the 4Ks. Either way, hell of a deal for those of us who were fortunate enough to get in on it while it lasted.....

They were likely clearing their limited rack space to prepare for Christmas and New Year releases.

^ Or in the case of one WM here who had them @ $4, empty the SW cardboard to fill-it with other overpriced "deals".

The SW titles are all full price in the wired display area now.

Anyone have any opinions on Torchwood? Noticed that seasons 1-3 went on sale for $44.99 today.

Edit: Nevermind. It looks like Season 4 is OOP.

It's okay. It does wrap up in the BBC Complete set. Season 4 (which is Starz and which I haven't seen) is kind of like a reboot so you don't feel like you're left with a cliffhanger if you don't have it.

I pre-ordered this a couple of weeks back at the same price. But I was getting concerned that they would ship the Blu Ray double bill instead of the 4K, since the description doesn’t specify 4K. I contacted Amazon to confirm they would be shipping the 4K double feature as shown in the product photo and they assured me it would be the 4K. It has since shipped, so we’ll see (I kept the email response just in case....). Appears they made a mistake and swapped the 4K product photo for the standard Blu Ray double feature releasing on the same date (and vice versa), as the one with the Blu Ray cover photo shows $38.xx and says 4K in the product description....

I wouldn't say its a reboot. Like Children of Earth before it, it is a miniseries, that mostly stands on its own.

I was tempted to order it but was afraid about how they would ship it. I should have taken the chance.

Shout Factory's Blu-ray release of The Wizard is only $21.74 at the moment. Not too bad for one of their pre-orders.
