I doubt Blue Monkey will convince anyone to sign up for the Dark Force Club. I'm not sure if Dave knows this but it was part of Bill's infamous GoFundMe debacle. I can't see fans paying $399.00 to get it and risk getting burned again.

Well, that’s one of my signature titles. Unfortunately, DF games are one of the bonus features. I’m sure it’ll eventually be available on its own. At least I know it’s coming.

Exclusives aside $400 shipped is good price if you are the type of person that buys all the label releases anyway. That's the main benefit IMO.

I don't, as the quality of titles and frankly the QC suck at times. So if this is the game they want to play, then good luck with it, as the other labels will get more of my funds. You wanna copy VS, then you need to sell all the titles non-subscription too. It's not rocket science.

But why is it more per movie than VS's subscription.... DF has quality control issues, I trust VS to release the best version possible of their films..

VS had past subscription exclusives when launching new subs such as Fright House/Murderous Intent and The Executioner Part II. Those werent timed either, sub only

VS you just get discs, here you get regular bonus swag too. 16.66 shipped/disc is a very good price I wish I could get a value like that for some of the other labels.

I've been a critic of DF here, but I don't think that it's a big deal for them to offer exclusive titles with membership. I mean, it sucks if Blue Monkey is your favorite film ever and you hate everything else that DF puts out, but how many people like you can there be in the wild?

There has to be some benefit to subscribing beyond being first in line for shipping.

That being said, having stripped down standard editions available at a later date for non-subscribers would be a very good idea. Make the subscribers' one a limited edition with a nice slip cover and loaded with extras and/or swag (a la Severin).

In theory, that would be a great idea, but it would also limit sales which would limit the amount of money Bill could make and he supposedly spent quite a bit of money to buy The Farmer.

As of the last livestream, we are back to the "No one's going to buy it" excuse so I'm starting to believe the rumors about Bill not having a complete print. A 16mm print of The Farmer recently sold on eBay for $2,326.77 and, if Bill/Dave weren't the winners, they run a real risk of the auction winner scanning and putting it on the Internet, killing the market for a blu-ray release since a large part of its appeal is that it hasn't been seen because of its unavailability.

I think having perks for the membership is a given, but exclusive titles kind of sucks. In Dark Force's case, it really doesn't matter though, we all know the release will be available individually later down the line.

I think it's cool DF is going this route, but the business model probably needs some more tweaking. I personally won't be subscribing since I just prefer to know what I'm getting beforehand... Vinegar Syndrome's Black Friday/halfway secret pre-orders being the exception where I usually indulge.

What releases are coming up for Dark Force? Haven't really been keeping up.

Admittedly I read DFs post wrong, thinking the exclusives are only available to club members; and posted my knee jerk reaction. DF clearly stated their intent clearly from the get go. Me = foot in mouth.
