I discussed this in the dedicated thread for the older 4K UHD Blu-ray of The Last Jedi, but I realized last night that my new LG UM6910PUC, an entry-level 4K television that I bought at the spur of the moment for $339 to make my social distancing life more bearable, does not support Dolby Vision.
Thankfully, my existing 4K UHD Blu-ray (the Best Buy steelbook from a couple of years ago) of The Last Jedi still looks fantastic, even when limited to HDR10. I take this to mean that I'm getting a similar transfer of The Last Jedi to the folks who own it by way of the Skywalker Saga disc that does not have the Dolby Vision treatment. How are y'all liking the Skywalker Saga edition of this movie? |

In my opinion, all of the 4K UHD discs look miles better than the 2011 standard Blu-rays. Even The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones show notable improvements. |

TROS did not ring up as part of the promotion. So I asked, and got a price adjustment.
![]() Maybe I'll go back for the OT and/or RotS later in the week. But I think this might be enough for now. |

Don't like that the discs are stacked and fear some of mine will be scratched, then you're screwed for a couple of weeks (who knows if longer?) since Target isn't allowing returns right now. |

They will be scratched too. Whether its bad enough to bother you? So far mine all play despite some circular scratches. ANH and ESB are perfect. So I got that going for me.

They're made for purists. The Disney releases are not, which is why the picture is messed up. Casual consumers seldom watch movies other than the most popular ones and don't want film to look like film.
