Tell me about it. I have ordered the 3d double set and and one of them separately that both ended up mis-advertised. They were just the 2d. Finally got both, not too hard to find used on ebay and amazon.

There's another recent one I hope makes it to 3d blu-ray called StreetDancer. It's more of a bollywood take on the genre I think and looks like it would have great 3d.

Megamind was great. How could anyone with a new Samsung 3D TV and a free copy of Megamind not love it? There can be only 2 explanations. They didn’t have a 3D Blu-ray player or they couldn’t figure out how to put the batteries in the glasses

Watched this today. The animation was done well, 3D was decent and the movie made me laugh. It was a bit too long and the story lost focus near the end but overall I can’t complain. I don’t usually find stuff like this funny but for some reason it worked. Kind of like a Mr Bean crossed with wile e coyote and James Bond if that makes any sense, which I’m sure it doesn’t lol. He’s some kind of agent who’s a moron that continuously gets hammered and beat up from his mistakes. It felt like it was geared towards adults more than children, but I’m not familiar with the franchise. Can’t really recommend anyone hunts it down, but if you see it for a nice price it’s worth a shot.

Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look on ebay.

And StreetDancer does look good, especially the 3D.

Just ordered Stardog and Turbocat from eBay. Originally seller wanted $22 but just lowered the price to $12.50. Brand new.

This makes with pre-orders 489 discs. Hopefully there will be eleven more so I can become another member of the 500 club.

Hi Kurosawa,

Yup. Held out for a long time. Then last year got two of them and can't count how many region two's I now have.

Glad you guys didn't give up pushing me in the right direction.

Watched Predator the other night. Lends itself pretty well to the 3D format. Just a shame it was using that pants, waxwork transfer

Watched San Andreas. Solid 3D, although it could have been pushed harder. Film itself was very enjoyable. Great FX and I was far more invested in the characters than I usually am in this type of film. Really enjoyable stuff.

depth 4/5
Pop out 2/5

Film 4/5

xXx Return of Xander Cage. Big, dumb movie but it was really entertaining. I agree with some comments in the xXx thread that they went basic budget for this film. I thought more could have been done with the set pieces. Every time it looked like they were going to have some amazing set piece, they didn't follow through.

Still, the 3D was great.

Watched 3 movies. The Lorax and The LEGO Movie both have great 3D, but geared toward a young audience. Star Wars TRoS. Good depth, story getting a little tired. Since it cost $38 I wanted it to be 4 x better than my $10 movies.

Double feature. The Martian followed by Dial M for Murder. Two very different movies. A repeat viewing for The Martian. I may have seen Dial M before but it seemed fresh upon viewing. Enjoyed both. Definitely in the quality movie that is also in 3D department.

Yeah the finale in an empty warehouse in Detroit seemed particularly low rent.

Ordered Aquaman from Amazon $22. While researching read the thread and there was a lot of upset people about no imax 3D and the cut version in the UK. I was just glad to find it. I guess after a few years everything calmed down a bit.
