Perhaps that's why I enjoyed Fuller House. It was nice to see the girls take over as a different spin on the show. And to be fair, all the Tanner household guys were pretty uninspiring and just didn't bring much energy to the new show (Saget, Coulier, and Stamos). It's also kind of annoying if older characters have to rely on callbacks and catch phrases to get over beyond the first few episodes.
