Psycho is available on its own and I’d mail you Ghost if you can’t find it... I believe it was released in Canada.

I had a feeling it was going to be more than a few, but that list far exceeds what I was guessing with 6. That list is very impressive to say the least, and cool that you still support the industry. I still get Widescreen Review and that is about it. I know Gary is a punching bag on some of these forums, but I still have no problem supporting them.

Boxofficemjo International revenues starting to increase.

One trend in particular will be true. Movies will be playing in the movie theaters for a longer period because you are limiting the number of people that can watch these movies.

Almost want to guess that might lengthen the time to media release after release date.

That’s a positive. U.K. is seeing decent numbers for sure. There are positives for those of us willing to recognise them.

So here is the response I got from VUDU regarding my digital "purchase" of The Way Back.

Hi xxxxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Vudu Customer Care.

As of June 29, 2020 Vudu is no longer accepting any Instawatch purchases made through Walmart.com. We are taking new measures in regard to our Instawatch redemption program.

It has been brought to light that some accounts have InstaWatch titles missing from their account. If titles were removed, the titles were not redeemed to the Walmart account that purchased the discs.

If you have proof the Instawatch content was bought from your Walmart.com account, please forward us your Walmart.com order confirmation and we will gladly escalate your case to our higher level of support for further review. If you no longer have the proof of purchase, unfortunately, we are unable to escalate your case.

So essentially, I didn't buy it the "right way" so now it's lost. Ehh it's a moot point at this point because I bought the DVD. Try deleting that. This is enough for me to just say no to digital going forward.

It's a little like buying a pirated disc from a shady dealer and then complaining at Best Buy if the disc doesn't play.

I don't understand why people buy anything from these code stores. Be a bit patient and you can get the movie cheaper from the iTunes store (or whatever you prefer), and you get the perks like free 4K upgrades etc.

Too late already bought the DVD and that one won't get revoked because of me not buying it the right way.

It's probably best not to purchase anything, including physical media, from dodgy websites.

What's sad is that you're going back to an Old Format, DVD Disc which is less than the HD Digital Format you had. Does this mean that you'll not watch anything Digital Streaming? I have bought a few Codes here on Blu-ray.com, and I haven't lost anything. There is nothing wrong with Digital Streaming, only the understanding of how things work. We go forward with Fiber Networks and Digital Access, or remain in Obsolete Massive Disc Collections!

Yup done with it. I got the DVD because I got a good price. Typically I just buy Blu-ray and I have a couple of 4K Blu-rays.

There is nothing "obsolete" about owning a disc collection. They look better; they sound better; they often include interesting extra features, and you actually have full control over the content. They can not be removed, censored, or edited at the whims of the studios. Not that quality, artistic integrity, or true unchangeable ownership means anything to you: cheap and convenient is all that you have ever cared about.

Enjoying discs does not require ever more expensive broadband internet service that despite fiber networks is still surprisingly unreliable. My ISP is due to spring another annual price increase upon me next month; they have raised their prices every single year. My ISP is a monopoly here and they still impose data caps. I do not have to keep track of such data usage nonsense when watching my discs. I can not begin to tell you how happy I am that I am not dependent upon my flaky, greedy ISP to enjoy movies or TV shows.

The only things that I like about digital distribution, and thus why I have a digital collection, is that it provides remote access to movies when I am away from home, which during this pandemic is pretty much never. It also allows me to share my digital collection with friends while we maintain necessary social distancing.

In the more than 35 years that I have been buying physical media, I have never bought anything the "wrong" way and thus I have never had anything taken away from me as a result.

I can only hope to obtain "massive" collection status someday; how many titles is that, anyways? I may have a made a good start.

Fibre networks are irrelevant. You know this. Netflix are shaving more bits from their service and I believe that means full HD at 1.5-2Mbps. Even if they do manage the same quality, backgrounds suffer from posterisation as it is. That’s not the future for AV lovers, it’s the future for Dave and his ‘soccer mum’ wife.

There is nothing obsolete about our collections, now or ten years from now. We have access to them probably for the rest of our lives.

DVD has some great releases that never make it to streaming or Blu-ray.

Free upgrades that can sometimes get downgraded to full HD for no apparent reason. Very common I read, even on this forum.

This is something that Alchav21 brings up again and again and honestly I don’t think he understands that his network connection can be over qualified but the streaming services offer very low quality encodes because they have to cater to all levels of network connections.

When a movie comes to streaming it’s stripped of 90% of its data so it can be steamed over average connections. There isn’t a separate high quality version for people with better network connections.

Having a better connection doesn’t result in a better steaming experience once the connection is good enough.
