I could only hope Season 11's first 8 episodes to air during October 2021, with a break until the second 8 episodes return in February 2022, and the final 8 episodes over June 2022; unless AMC waits for October 2022 to broadcast them.

Shows how few on here don’t actually read the comic books. Otherwise they’d know the stories outcome makes it near impossible for them to be alive by the time the show reaches its end

Being that Rick, Carl, Michonne, Dwight, and Andrea are no longer attached to the TV series, their comic arcs will have to be given to characters that are still on the show. Regardless, the following is *MAJOR* comic spoilers and could possibly be where the show is headed.

Anyways, the final issues reveal that
[Show spoiler]after Rick’s assassination, the story jumps 35-40 years into the future with a grown up Carl reading to his young daughter. I can only imagine that an adult Judith will take Carl’s place but there is no way Daryl and Carol who are in their 50’s will be alive by that time.
I've read all the comics and own most of them, I'm just not assuming that the show is going to end the same way as the comics did. There have already been many deviations and changes, and with the Rick situation still being up in the air there's literally no reason to believe the show will do the same thing the comics did. In fact, I kinda hope it doesn't. I've read the comics, so I know what happens. I like the comics story more than the show, but I also like that the show hasn't just carbon-copied everything so at least I don't know every plot twist before it happens.

Yeah, but you are essentially spoiling the show by doing so. Even if it’s not exact, a lot of what happens in the comics, informs the tv show.

But...wouldn’t you want some other form of entertainment? I mean, after I saw TWD Season One, I went and bought the first Compendium (Volumes 1-8, the first 48 issues). So technically I had an idea of what the next four seasons of the series would have in store.

It was fun because I would pick up on certain comic storylines in the show and compare the differences or get giddy with excitement seeing iconic comic moments happen on the TV series.

Then of course things changed in the show storyline so I was guessing how it would be remixed for the show given certain characters are either dead or their comic arcs given to other characters.

Or the argument that if you the viewer were unhappy with the shows quality because let’s all agree the series saw a decline sometime around its sixth season through the eighth before resurgence in Season 9. As an alternative the comics would provide a better quality story.

And honestly, had I never read a comic issue of The Walking Dead I would’ve given up on the show midway through Season 7. It was the comics that kept me going. With the comics ended I kind of lost care for the show.

I’m not unhappy with the show though. I recognise the decreased quality but I still enjoy it. This series has been enjoyable to me with the Whisperers. I’m in it until the very end as I still care for the characters.

I’m not a comic book guy anymore. I was when I was younger though.

Sad to see an end date but it something everyone could see coming as soon as the comics ended, unfortunately. I'm 50/50 on the spin off though as it sort of spoils any future Daryl and Carol stuff but if was announced post Walking Dead finale, then I'd be more looking forward to it. Just like the Rick Grimes movies after his exit.

I don’t know how you do a spinoff with Daryl and Carol if it doesn’t take place after the events of TWD tv show. We’ve seen both characters since the start of the apocalypse so how could you possibly do a spinoff show that flashes back to past events that we haven’t seen with both characters?

Actually, now that I think about it, I guess you could flash back to the years after Rick’s “death” before the time jump during season 9 but I just don’t see the point in doing that.

I mean there’s a good six year gap between Rick’s “death” and to where we pick up again in Season 9. Problem is Daryl was a lone woodsman and Carol was queen of the Kingdom. Which would be problematic as other supporting casts would need return.

I don’t know. I find it unnecessary really. For them to be the last two standing. Sounds like pandering to the fanbase.

There’s no guarantee that they’re the last two standing. There could certainly be other characters from the main show added to the spinoff, in addition to FTWD characters if AMC decides to end that show, which they absolutely should do.

What needs to be done is FearTWD characters to cross over onto TWD. It’s their final season, have a marriage of both series. That would leave me satisfied.

They're probably saving that for the Rick movies or World Beyond. I'd rather Fear and TWD remain separate this late into the series.

Well we’ve seen the helicopter group in TWD, Fear, and they’re the main protagonists(?) and focus in World Beyond. So the only connecting thread the shows have are those helicopters lol

Where was this during, like...you know...when the series was at its peak popularity?

It's a neat concept, though late to the party.

I have all the comics and the specials, and I'm pretty sure they won't end the Season 11 with that last issue of the comic. They'll probably keep it when they finish the very last spin-of series. And, even if they do that finale, there is absolutely nothing that prevent them to go back in time, just after that eventual time jump, and do the Carol/Daryl spin-of set after the season 11, but before the finale episode.

Magic the Gathering Reveals Crossover with "The Walking Dead" (Exclusive)
by Trilby Beres
September 28, 2020

Games publisher Wizards of the Coast on Monday revealed that long-running strategy game Magic the Gathering is crossing over with AMC's "The Walking Dead" for a limited-edition set.

Launching on Oct. 4th to coincide with AMC's premiere of "The Walking Dead: World Beyond", the set will include premium cards that depict iconic characters in the post-apocalyptic zombie series, offer unique gameplay and showcase the work of a variety of artists.

"Each of the cards have mechanics that are inspired by either the characters or the elements of The Walking Dead universe that they represent," Clayton Neuman, VP games and entertainment at AMC Networks, tells The Hollywood Reporter.

"And these mechanics are brand new to the world of Magic."

So in preparation for the resumption of the season finale this weekend...

Someone remind me of how/why Beta is going to wipe everyone out? Because he saw a cat or a dog or something?

I remember doing a massive eye roll when someone mentioned that after the last episode.

Well. The cat simply helped lead Beta to the hospital everyone was staying at. How Beta was able to figure that out, I have no clue.

So my hope for tonight is that The Whisperers kill (almost) everyone...and as the last shot shows Beta surveying the carnage suddenly a sword bursts through his chest and the camera pans behind to show Judith covered in blood saying 'die f**ker!'.
