I checked a few titles and saw the following prices and Scene points earned:

Chasing Amy $21.99 (110 points)
American History X $24.99 (125 points)
X-Men Trilogy $68.99 (345 points) PRICEY PRICEY!!!
A Man Apart $21.99 (110 points)

Looks like the newer BDs are super pricey and max suggested retail price, but for catalog titles it could be a decent alternate. I go to movies maybe once or twice a month and could help toward getting free ones faster.
