They're counting the re-edited US version of the original as its own film.

Yep, it's included on the first disc. All the discs are identical to the limited edition. Only the physical extras are exclusive to the LE, so stuff like the map is not included.

Only the Heisei Trilogy Steelbook I believe. The Showa and Heisei sets are not limited.

I suspect these will be a case of as long as they have the rights, and as long as they are selling, they’ll make some more. I wouldn’t be shocked if they don’t have the rights for any crazy period of time though, so I wouldn’t wait to pick these up for any extended period. My suspicion is they aren’t limited in the truest sense, but won’t necessarily be super common once they go out of print.

Just received my two sets and wow, they are gorgeous. I love that they have smaller transparent cases. I'm sad I sold my bigger set but I much prefer these. I also ordered the steelbook too but haven't received it yet. Man do I wish Arrow had been able to do the same with the Showa Godzilla.
