David M Power Member Member since:Aug 2007 Blu-ray reviews: 1 Trading Score:1	Panasonic exiting PDP (the nail in the coffin) was in 2013. CE companies will have been doing work with HDR at around this time (the first HDR products getting announced at CES 2015). This might be the main reason.
