If it's listed as "A", then you got nothing to worry about.

It's not a "page" per se, but rather a text annotation box that's often appended to the end of the Japanese-language listings for a given item. For some reason the English-language version of the same listing omits that information.

I'll link you this Japanese-language listing for a copy of the Evangelion 1.01 2-DVD Ltd. Ed. release so you can see it for yourself. You'll have to scroll to the bottom of the text area to read it, but if you get to the green bar reading "商品の状態違いもあります" you've gone too far.

To celebrate the release of Evangelion 3.333 on 4K Ultra High-Definition Blu-ray today in Japan, the King Amusement Creative YouTube channel released a small 1 minute and 46-second sample of the 21-minute imageboard visualization by Mahiro Maeda that is released in the collection, depicting the first draft of the original Evangelion 3.0 film.

Really hope 3.333 gets an international 4k release
I wonder if 1.11 and 2.22 will get similar treatments, or if it's even possible for them
A 4k rebuild boxset would be pretty cool

I'm sure it's possible at least in theory, but it's possible that this 3.333 UHD release is serving as a "trial balloon" for Khara / King Records to see if it's financially viable.

About the same height as the Criterion Godzilla set, and a little wider/thicker, if that helps!

This is from the product page.

The Ultimate Edition is approximately 15 in x 14.25 in x 4.25 in. It weighs approximately 11 lbs.
Final product subject to change.

The website gives the dimensions as 15"x14.25"x4.25". Looking at the pictures of the box itself on the UK website, I'm not sure those proportions sound right to me. If the cards/disc holders are LD-sized, they'd be about 12"x12", which would leave a lot of extra space in a box that size. Also, according to those measurements, the box would be about a third as thick as it is wide or tall, and it doesn't really look that way.

I suspect those figures on the site are for the box it ships in; I think the actual set might be more like 12.5" square, or a little bigger than a Laserdisc or vinyl album. But that's just speculation based on eyeballing the proportions of the box in the photos.

I'm counting on a 4 film boxset, which will likely be presented as 4k even if all they can do for the first two is an upscale.

It would be weird to see only 3.333 and 3.0+1.0 in 4k, and maybe just a standard blu-ray box set for all four.

But then... this IS Evangelion we're talking about. Getting a complete box set in either format in a timely manner would be out-of-character for this franchise...

Some insights in regard to the recent TV broadcast of the new HD master in France this evening. Those are either known or may apply to the other releases worldwide:
-FttM replaced by the same song as Netflix' version
-Japanese telops kept intact
-Textual Matisse EB / Stretched Times New Roman screens kept intact

Considering how Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22 were digitally animated without 4K even being on the radar regarding formats, (and even 3.33 for that matter) I highly doubt a 4K release of the Evangelion Rebuild Quadrilogy will be anything to write home about.

Unless GKids' countdown timer includes news/information of them getting rights to the Rebuild films, I'm just going to import the Hong Kong BD releases once Thrice Upon A Time hits their shelves.

I used an easel stand for my Aniplex Plus JP store exclusive Devilman Crybaby set;

I plan on using the same for the Evangelion Ultimate Edition.

3.33 (now 3.333) was re-composited at a higher resolution (originally 720p now 2K) for the IMAX release by Khara and T2, which was then upscaled for UHD by Sony PCL. In addition, it’s still in SDR, which is probably a good thing, as HDR re-grades of digital anime films vary wildly in terms of quality.

If they’re all (1 and 2, and presumably 4 is a 2K native master) re-composited and in SDR, I don’t see any problem with them.

I remember reading a while back they were all animated at 720p, I didn't know 3.33 was re-composited. That'll definitely make the image quality better on a 4K disc. That's assuming an English-friendly 4K release would even make it to the states...
