The JVC will have better blacks/contrast and better HDR tone mapping which is truly frame-by-frame dynamic. It should have at least 3-4 times as much native contrast before factoring in its laser dimming.

This Sony is really for people who need A LOT of lumens because they have truly gigantic screens and/or have a room with ambient light.

But the JVC will look better in rooms where its lumens are sufficient; primarily relatively smaller screens especially in dark rooms/black pits.

I would prefer the JVC in my room over the Sony as I don't need 10,000 lumens.
