OK, if some of you guys are putting this above Drunken Master and Miracles, I'm really looking forward to it.

I would definitely put it above Miracles, but I haven't seen either for 20 years. It's been interesting getting back in to watching all these releases and seeing which ones hold up for me in my adult/cine-snob self!
Two surprises so far are that I thought Police Story 2 now to be rubbish (despite having for me one of the best fight scenes of all time - no, no, not the end "fight") and just how damn good Wheels on Meals (still) is (to me) - I was expecting my tolerance of the humour to be tested but it's genuinely funny and then the rest. My top 10 (* for not seen this century) 1. Project A 2. Wheels on Meals 3. Drunken Master* 4. Police Story 5. Armour of God* 6. Drunken Master 2 7. Dragons Forever 8. Snake in the Eagle's Shadow* 9. Miracles* 10. The Young Master* Armour of God may well drop down, but it will be hard to budge any of the Channel 4 Jackie Chan Christmas Season quartet. |

Love seeing everyone's top ten lists and thought I'd offer my own. Very interesting to see just how different everyone's list is, which I think is a testament to the quality of Jackie's films that so much just comes down to personal preference.
Honestly for me after the top five, it's very hard to rank them. Even Rumble in the Bronx only ended up at number 10 for being my first Jackie movie and holding a special place in my heart. 1. Dragons Forever 2. Police Story 3. Meals on Wheels 4. Project A 5. Snake in the Eagle's Shadow 6. Drunken Master II 7. Drunken Master 8. Police Story 2 9. Police Story 3 10. Rumble in the Bronx |

Again alphabetical
Crime Story Dragons Forever Drunken Master Drunken Master 2 Police Story Project A Project A 2 Shanghai Noon Wheels on Meals The Young Master Pretty boring list, only weird choice on my part is probably Shanghai Noon, but damn I love westerns, jackie and Owen Wilson so I'm an easy mark for that film. For me Dragons Forever, Police Story, and Project A are basically peerless classics of HK action cinema. They're the big three JC films. Drunken Master 2 not so good as a film, but god damn is the martial arts action absolutely ****ing spectacular. Armour of God is one that for many years would be a top 5 JC film for me but in the last couple of decades I've found it less and less special. Would be in my top15 for sure though. Robotrix is still available on the 88Films Store Grim! |

Here is mine, none of this alphabetical nonsense, mine are in order of my favs!
Snake In The Eagles Shadow Police Story Drunken Master Drunken Master II Project-A Police Story 3 Wheels On Meals Dragons Forever Project-A II City Hunter I guess the only surprise in mine is City Hunter, yes its cheesy, but its great light hearted fun with some great action! I agree about Shanghai Noon Shingster, its def by a mile his best HK/US film! |
