Honestly I still don't get why they released it so close to Halloween and not earlier in October, like does their marketing team not understand people watch more scary films before Halloween? You have one of the biggest mainstream horror films of the last thirty years and if it got delayed until after Halloween they are going to 100% lose sales they would have gotten from people impulse buying this to watch before October 31st. Also with the new trailer dropping earlier this week- Paramount you done dropped the ball if the delay is true.

It’s interesting to note that Scream was released in theaters on December 20, 1996 (just before Christmas), and the new one is scheduled to come out in mid-January. This is a franchise that doesn’t seem to care about releasing close to Halloween. I still remember reading a USA Today article about upcoming movies in 1996 in which they doubted the film would do well because it was being released in the wrong season.

The few remaining replication plants are at capacity due to the Holiday season. This has caused a few dozen titles to be delayed or shuffled.

This should have been released in August to avoid that but then that would be too early for people here

Strange how the Blu-ray, but no the 4K had the dates moved even though it looks like this one will be delayed as well in the US.

Given that both Bull Moose (last week) and Amazon (this week) have only delayed the Blu-ray and not the 4K UHD, it may very well be that only the BD has actually been delayed. They are separate products, so it may be that there is just an issue with the distribution of one and not the other.

Guess we will find out Tuesday!

What's odd is that Bullmoose doesn't have any stock of the 4K. They usually ship out the Wednesday-Friday the week before the item comes out, but this time they haven't shipped anything.

The UK 4K of Scream includes the Blu Ray and it has shipped. Must be a distribution issue in the US.

Yeah, it seems like WB and Paramount have been having some issues recently. I think it's just a US thing.

None of them have been released in October. The first two were in December, 3 and 4 were both early in the year (Feb, and April, respectively).

Amazon UK are apparently delivering mine today with Inglourious Basterds and The Sparks Brothers (Blu). Not unlikely that I get an update saying it'll actually arrive tomorrow though.
