I thought the villain was Cuban at first since that's where they fled. I thought it was weird that [Show spoiler] she chose to be apprehended at the end . The family dynamics were great. I was disappointed that they didn't really use the epic music from the trailer.

Trailer music is mostly used for promotion of the film. There are in rare occasions where the trailer music ends up in the film. Like the 1st Harry Potter movie's trailer music ended up as Hedwig's Theme for the HP series. John Williams was asked to create trailer music for the film but it immediately became so popular that they decided to use it in the film and the rest is history.
