Ok, now this is very, very interesting if true. I don't ever know of DVDACTIVE putting up fake stuff, they've always been legit. I don't see Zach Snyder having enough pull to mandate a DTSMA track. Either way this makes for very interesting news.
It would be interesting to see if Warner has additional releases in DTSMA. This studio has never been DTS-friendly in any of it's incarnations. I am guessing if they do have a codec switch, it's due to bandwidth savings. DTSMA's big advantage is that the legacy codec is built-in so you don't have to have the bandwidth for an additional 640 or 448 track. It will be interesting to see if the Watchmen track is at the usual 16bit or upped to 24bit. Last edited by davcole; 05-29-2009 at 12:42 PM. |
